First Retightening & Shampoo

had my first retightening at 6 weeks..
these are pics from weeks 1-5.. 

i guess i had shamoo'd my hair about 2 times..
i braid & band, bunch & band.. 

i do remember kinda being afraid on my first poo.. 

now i b&b and poo with the quickness.. i tend to section in 6..

part my hair in half and 3 bundles on each side..

at times i've done 7 with an extra bundle in the back mid..

this is where my hair does a lot of scrunching..

i do a pre scrub with poo 4:6 h2o

i use SL Starter Shampoo old and new formula..

lathers good for me, smells, feels, and looks cleans..

lastly i use a shirt to dry.. and separate each Sisterlock..

air dry and style or let the babies be free =)

in the beginning.........

sooooooo... here it is .. in the beginning.. lol.. heard that before right.. my natural hair for about a year and a half.. i did not cut my hair.. and i still had perm on my ends.. i started researching Sisterlocks after i fell in love with my friends hair.. it was just so beautiful and free.. she was very encouraging and still is.. she has been locked for maybe 3-4 years i think..

when looking for a consultant in my area i had to flip back and forth from the consultant page and the trainee page.. but a

the trainee who responded & he answered all my questions and if i had more ?'s that came up later he would answer those with no problem.. yes he.. i just thought this wouldn't be any different from a guy stylist.. so ok

got my test locks in July for 2 weeks (bottom ends) with 2 different patterns.. day 1 of install Aug 3 (bottom middle) & complete Aug 5.. over 2 and a half days 28 hours all of my babies were born!! top middle was the next day with perm rods.. i have no idea how many Sisterlock babies there are.. my oldest sister says she wants to count them and told me not to let anybody else count them... they are so light and my scalp felt funny

And I managed to post quite a few pics!!  It's starting to take form as is the blog!!  Now I have to figure out how to post pics or an album here for you..  And I will be blogging about my sisterlocks from the beginning up to now..  It's quite interesting..  Especially since I had many question about sisterlocks and really had a difficult finding someone who was starting out and not years in..  So I am new like many of you..  This is where I will pick up later on the next post!

Sisterlocks Week 17, Month 4

Today, my babies & I feel good!! It was rainy but guess who didn't run? We just casually walked, giving my  grid a tickle.. Monday I shampoo'd.. Tuesday I got reti at 5 weeks.. Today I shampoo'd but first I b&b'd & did a new regimen.. I have a very dry scalp & my consultant suggest'd an aspirin soak.. aspirin & milk.. Worked it through my scalp for about 5 minutes, put on a cap for it to sit for 15 minutes.. Feels grrrrr8 & looks amazing!! This is the beginning of my blog, so I have experiences that I will catch up 4 u l8r..
